Makes 1 cup | ⏱️ 25 mins | gluten free 🌾
Ingredients:
One red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup white vinegar
3/4 cup water
1 tbsp white sugar
2 tsp salt
pinch of black pepper
Roughly 2 cups of boiling to soak the onions.
Instructions:
Slice the red onion thinly and put it in a glass bowl.
Bring about 2 cups of water to a boil and pour it over the onions, allowing them to sit for 20 minutes. This will soften the onions.
Then, drain the onions and put them in a glass jar. Add the vinegars, sugar, salt, 3/4 cup of water, and a bit of black pepper.
Let cool before storing in the fridge for up to two weeks.
