Tofu is more than just a animal protein alternative; it’s a canvas for flavors and textures. Whether you're a dedicated vegetarian or simply looking to incorporate more plant-based meals into your routine, mastering the art of crusting tofu can elevate your cooking.


Makes 4 servings | ⏱️ 40 minutes | gluten free option available 🌾


Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup panko or crushed corn flakes for a gluten free option

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup plant milk


Instructions:

  1. Begin by preheating the oven to 350 F (180 C).

  2. Cut the tofu into slices that are 1/4 inch thick.

  3. Pour the plant milk into a bowl.

  4. In another bowl, combine the panko and seasoning and stir.

  5. Dip each tofu slice individually into the plant milk, then coat it with the panko mixture.

  6. Position the tofu on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  7. Bake for 25 minutes, turning the slices halfway through.
